The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cotton forces Pjanic back against the cage and clinches.
Pjanic is fighting off a takedown attempt but Cotton is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Pjanic to the mat. Pjanic regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Pjanic is looking to stand up but Cotton isn't so interested in that idea.
Cotton is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Cotton controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Cotton feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Cotton connects with a nice short shot to Pjanic's temple.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Cotton closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Cotton is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pjanic defends it well.

Cotton shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Cotton was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Pjanic's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Cotton has control of Pjanic's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Pjanic regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Pjanic squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.
Cotton lands a big shot there that rocks Pjanic but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Cotton can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Pjanic is looking to escape.

I've got Cotton winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
