The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Rexar moves into range and clinches up with Babakla.
Babakla drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Rexar gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Babakla is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Rexar is defending well.

We've been informed that Babakla has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Babakla goes for a takedown attempt but Rexar pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Tyler Rexar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Namba Babakla.
Rexar is looking to chop away at Babakla's legs.
Babakla throws a head kick that misses.
Nice takedown defense from Rexar. No joy for Babakla on that attempt.
Babakla shoots in for a takedown but Rexar shows good takedown defense.
Rexar throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Babakla stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.

Rexar takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Babakla shoots in but Rexar avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Rexar throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Rexar scores with a decent looking hook.
Rexar tries to bum rush Babakla with a series of wild strikes but Babakla uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Rexar bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Babakla's head backwards.
Rexar rushes Babakla with punches - Babakla moves straight backwards instead of circling and gets clipped by the second strike... and the third... and the fourth! Oh, Babakla goes down! Rexar follows up with more strikes and the ref steps in to end the bout!
