Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George Baba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Murilo Brito (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murilo Brito will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, George Baba! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Murilo Brito! The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baba swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Brito throws a right hand that Baba ducks under and follows up with a left that Baba also avoids with ease. Baba misses with an uppercut. Brito is looking to clinch but Baba is avoiding it.
Baba gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Baba slips under a jab from Brito. Brito takes one to the side of the head.
Brito lands a front kick. Baba takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
It looks like George Baba has been cut. Baba throws a solid leg kick but Brito takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Baba. Brito looks to land a combination but Baba avoids it well. Brito misses with a two punch combination.
Baba tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Brito tries to clinch but fails miserably and Baba counters with a leg kick. Baba closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Baba lands in his opponent's guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Brito trying to keep a closed guard but Baba is proving a slippery customer.

Brito had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Baba defends it easily. Baba slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Brito is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Baba is aware though and is defending well. Brito has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Baba can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Brito is looking for a triangle but Baba pushes his legs off easily.

Baba controls the pace of the fight for a moment. This has been an exciting period of action!
We're going to have a standup here because George Baba wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Excellent takedown into side control there by Baba.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. You can see the frustration on Brito's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. But no, Brito has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Baba but great work by Brito. Baba takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Brito accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Murilo Brito dominated that round. The cut man is working on George Baba's cut. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Brito feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Babas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Brito tries to clinch but Baba is having none of it. Baba throws a nice outside leg kick. Brito scores with the left hand. Baba knows he should have avoided that one. Brito scores with a jab to the head.
Brito looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Brito throws a head kick but Baba moves out of range.
Baba uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Brito. Baba misses with a low kick.

Brito throws a lazy head kick and Baba counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A punch combination from Brito misses. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brito keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Brito throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes from Brito. Those never looked like landing. Brito tries to move into range but Baba moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Baba takes one on the button. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Baba!

Decent striking displayed by Brito there. Murilo Brito is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Brito fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Baba manages to avoid it. Murilo Brito seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brito looks to throw the jab but Baba is out of range. Baba moves out of range of the strikes. Some wild striking there from Brito.
Baba pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Brito back to the cage. Baba follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Brito misses with a low kick as Baba jumps back.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Baba lands a right hook to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Baba fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Brito has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Brito tries to clinch but Baba is having none of it. Brito throws a jab when Baba was well out of range. Murilo Brito seems to be getting the better of the standup. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Brito tries to get to full guard but Baba has control of the leg. Baba controlling the action here. Murilo Brito has got the better of the ground game so far. Baba seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Brito for as long as he can get away with. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Baba gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brito avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Brito takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Baba showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Baba sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Brito's guard. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Baba seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Baba frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Brito keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Baba content just to control the position here. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Brito sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
