Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

15 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Pip Gonzalez!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A looping hook to the body misses from Gonzalez. Finch does a little dance to reset his feet.
Gonzalez closes the distance and clinches up with Finch, looking for a takedown. Gonzalez pushes Finch against the cage but Finch circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Finch moves out of range of the leg kick from Gonzalez.
Gonzalez throws a body punch but Finch moves out of range.
Gonzalez tried to score with a low kick but Finch checks it.
Gonzalez throws a nice outside leg kick.
Gonzalez gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Finch.
Finch throws a front kick aimed at Gonzalez's knee but Gonzalez avoids it well.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Finch steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Gonzalez. That one must have hurt.

Gonzalez does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Gonzalez shoots in looking for a takedown but Finch manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gonzalez's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Richmond Finch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pip Gonzalez.
Finch is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Gonzalez.

Finch is really peppering his opponent's head with punches.
Gonzalez shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gonzalez was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Gonzalez throws an elbow but Finch slips to the side and avoids it well.

Finch tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Gonzalez easily slips into full mount!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Oooooh!!! Finch has knocked Gonzalez down with a huge combo! Finch steps away and waves a wobbly Gonzalez back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Gonzalez leaves his chin hanging out and Finch seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Gonzalez crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Richmond Finch was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
