Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cain Velasqs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sylwester Karwowski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Karwowski has chosen Metallica - Enter Sandman as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Cain Velasqs! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
11 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sylwester Karwowski! The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Marco Blurström and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A big left from Velasqs misses. Velasqs dips to his left and cracks Karwowski with an uppercut! Velasqs jabbing away but nothing is landing. Velasqs looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard. Karwowski is trying to get back to full guard. Velasqs is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Karwowski defends it well. Karwowski actively working from the bottom here. Velasqs is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Velasqs is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Karwowski felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Velasqs throws a strike but Karwowski avoids it easily and moves to full guard.

Velasqs sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Karwowski's guard. Velasqs prevents Karwowski from standing back up.
Velasqs looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Karwowski wants to get back to his feet. Karwowski is looking to improve his position.
Velasqs is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Karwowski sees it coming and defends easily. Karwowski is trying to maintain the position but Velasqs is very close to passing his half guard. Velasqs will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Karwowski moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Karwowski escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Velasqs gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Velasqs avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Velasqs got a little sloppy there for a moment and Karwowski has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Velasqs has managed to get both his arms back between Karwowski's legs - danger averted. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Velasqs prevents Karwowski from getting back to his feet. Velasqs works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Karwowski is defending against the submission attempts here by Velasqs.
Velasqs is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Karwowski doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Velasqs. Velasqs is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Velasqs is working for a guillotine from mount but Karwowski frees his head quite easily.
Velasqs really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Karwowski is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Velasqs lands a big elbow. Karwowski is desperately trying to improve his position but Velasqs has a good base and remains in mount. Karwowski sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Karwowski has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Velasqs is working away from the top position though. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Karwowski is trying to get back to full guard. Velasqs is working for a submission of some sort.
Velasqs prevents Karwowski from improving his position. Velasqs seems to be working for a kimura but Karwowski defends the submission attempt. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Velasqs is looking to advance position but Karwowski won't allow it. Karwowski manages to get to full guard.

Karwowski dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Velasqs. That did some damage! Velasqs connects with a looping right hand.
Karwowski looks to score with a jab to the body but Velasqs is just out of range. Karwowski tries to bum rush Velasqs with a series of wild strikes but Velasqs uses good footwork to avoid the assault. A jab from Velasqs does it's job there. Velasqs looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Karwowski connects with a body shot that sends Velasqs's belly button to the back. Karwowski misses the jab. Velasqs keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Karwowski shoots in and bounces Velasqs off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Karwowski is trying to control. Velasqs wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Karwowski seems to be working for a kimura but Velasqs defends the submission attempt. Karwowski is looking for a kimura here.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Karwowski connects with a nice short shot to Velasqs's temple. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Karwowski seems to be working for a kimura but Velasqs defends the submission attempt. Karwowski slows the pace down in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sylwester Karwowski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Karwowski misses with a body shot
and Velasqs counters with a lovely shot to the body. Velasqs stuffs the takedown. Excellent takedown into side control there by Karwowski. Velasqs is looking to reverse the position. Velasqs manages to work his way to half guard, despite Karwowski's best efforts. Velasqs is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Karwowski pulls his head out easily. Velasqs tries to get to full guard but Karwowski has control of the leg. Velasqs manages to get to full guard.
Karwowski wants to control from the top but Velasqs keeps moving. Velasqs has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Karwowski is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Velasqs. Velasqs tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Karwowski wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Karwowski scores with a couple of short elbows. Karwowski cracks Velasqs with a big right hand but Velasqs just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Velasqs wings away with a couple of strikes but they don't land. Karwowski is working to tighten his grip on Velasqs's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Velasqs has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Karwowski is really squeezing tight and eventually Velasqs passes out! Karwowski breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:36 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Sylwester Karwowski! Jumping up and down and very excited, Sylwester Karwowski waved his t-shirt featuring VICIOUS FIGHT GEAR's logo in front of the cameras.
