Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jo Rickson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jo Rickson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ryan West! The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Darius Henderson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rickson moves into range and clinches up with West. Rickson controlling the action here for a moment.
Rickson scores with a nice hook to the head. West tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rickson smiles and moves away.
West tries for a takedown but Rickson circles away easily and Rickson counters by clinching up. West jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Rickson walks away with a smile on his face. West gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jo Rickson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ryan West. Excellent takedown into side control there by Rickson. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rickson stands up and beckons West to his feet. West fails with the takedown and Rickson counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rickson seems to be working for a kimura but West defends the submission attempt. West is trying to maintain the position but Rickson is very close to passing his half guard. Rickson thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Rickson prevents West from improving his position. Rickson slows the pace down in half guard. West is looking to control Rickson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can West avoid being mounted? Rickson is nestled in close to West, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rickson prevents West from improving his position. Rickson sitting and controlling from the half guard. West is trying to maintain the position but Rickson is very close to passing his half guard.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Rickson drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. West working for submissions but it's allowed Rickson to get to half guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Rickson decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rickson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. West looks winded! Rickson looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
West is rocked! Rickson slows the pace down in half guard. West is still in real trouble! Can Rickson finish him? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Rickson frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Rickson controlling the position easily from mount. Rickson lands a big shot to the head and West winces in pain. He's tapped out due to strikes!
