Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Antwan Wise (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kevin Spiros (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kevin Spiros will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kevin Spiros! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Timothy Bukovac and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wise closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Wise lands in his opponent's guard. Wise distracts Spiros with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Spiros trying to control the position.
Spiros wants to sweep here but Wise controlling him for the moment. Wise throwing strikes from guard but Spiros blocks nicely. Wise had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Spiros defends it easily. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Spiros is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Wise looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Spiros passes into half guard.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Kevin Spiros hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Spiros closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wise quickly recovers to half guard. Spiros thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Wise's head. Spiros missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Spiros prevents Wise from improving his position. Wise won't allow Spiros to pass to mount. Spiros is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

You can see the frustration on Wise's face, being in this tough position on the bottom. Wise is not content to let Spiros control the position. Spiros wants to stand but Wise has his arm trapped.

Wise is looking to reverse the position. Spiros trying to control the position but Wise is working away. A control attempt from Wise but he's now mounted! Wise wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back. Spiros keeps control of the position as Wise tries to break free.

Wise is trying escape back to his feet. He turns into his opponent's guard and eventually finds his way back to his feet. Spiros drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Spiros postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Spiros trying to control but Wise is working from the bottom. Wise has his foot on Spiros's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kevin Spiros showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Spiros seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Wise does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Spiros scores with a couple of good hammerfists. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Spiros wants to work for an arm triangle but Wise is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
And that's the end of the fight! Kevin Spiros comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Spiros has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
