The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tsushima tries for a takedown but Bate circles away easily
and Bate counters with a right hand to the body.
Tsushima swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Bate counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Bate landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.
Bate is trying to work for a kimura but Tsushima is defending well.

Tsushima tries to get to full guard but Bate has control of the leg.

Tsushima is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Bate's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Bate's back!
