Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Francois Permitis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bryan Odinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Francois Permitis! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryan Odinson! The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Odinson shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Permitis defends it nicely. Odinson fails with the takedown. Nice takedown defense from Permitis. No joy for Odinson on that attempt. Francois Permitis has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bryan Odinson. Odinson misses with a takedown and Permitis counters with a nice body shot. Odinson fails with the takedown and Permitis decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Odinson's guard. Odinson looks winded! Permitis slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's one minute gone in the round. Permitis lands a few punches from side control. Permitis working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. We've been hearing that Permitis has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish. Odinson tries to control but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad. Permitis is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Odinson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
Odinson wants to hold on but Permitis pushes him away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Permitis sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Odinson taking shots to the head. Permitis unloading with bombs! Odinson reaches up to try and control the position but Permitis seems to have an arm triangle now! Uh oh! Odinson rolls and tries to escape and now Permitis has his back!
Permitis is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Odinson with him. Odinson is trying to defend but Permitis has an arm under the chin now! Odinson grimaces and is forced to tap out!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Francois Permitis! Our winner, Francois Permitis, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
