Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Marcellus Vaughan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mas Oyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mas Oyama will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Marcellus Vaughan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mas Oyama! The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, Bruno Hogan and Winston Howard.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Oyama looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Vaughan tries to sprawl but Oyama drives through with a takedown into half guard. Oyama is looking to stall here but Vaughan recovers full guard. Vaughan really is a fat lump. Oyama has gone for a leg lock! Vaughan slips out almost immediately though and dives into Oyama's guard. Oyama is trying to control the position but Vaughan postures up. Oyama tries to land a sweep but no joy.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oyama wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Vaughan manages to pass to side control. Vaughan escapes and gets back to his feet. Vaughan blocks a low kick nicely. Vaughan gets caught napping as Oyama dives in and scores a takedown. Vaughan manages to retain guard. Oyama looking to sit in guard and control but Vaughan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Oyama wants to control the position but Vaughan says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard. Vaughan is controlling the pace.
Oyama wants to get back to full guard but Vaughan has passed into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vaughan decides to stand back up. Vaughan steps back and let's Oyama get back to his feet. Oyama shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Vaughan napping and manages to drive through into side control! Oyama scores with punches from side control. Oyama trying to control the position but Vaughan is working away. Vaughan might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Oyama goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Vaughan has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Oyama but great work by Vaughan. Oyama is letting Vaughan control him for a moment. Vaughan decides to stand back up. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Oyama throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Oyama scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mas Oyama dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Vaughan darts in and clinches Oyama up against the cage. Oyama lands a good knee to the midsection. Vaughan won't want to take too many of those. Vaughan blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Good anti-grappling being displayed by Vaughan as Oyama tries to tie him up. Oyama's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Vaughan has not gone for a single takedown so far in this fight, which seems like a very strange tactic when you consider that he has the superior wrestling and BJJ. Oyama dives in and scores a takedown into Vaughan's guard. Oyama is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Vaughan is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Vaughan has escaped and now he's on top! Vaughan landing with the ground and pound.
That's one minute gone in the round. Oyama has an active guard here but Vaughan has managed to pass into half guard.
Vaughan lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vaughan with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Oyama wants to improve his position but Vaughan is controlling well.
Mas Oyama has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vaughan wants to stand but Oyama has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Mas Oyama was stalling too much, according to the referee. Oyama wants to clinch up but Vaughan keeps it at a distance. Marcellus Vaughan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Oyama closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Vaughan's guard. Oyama must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Oyama drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Vaughan dives on top into guard. Vaughan postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vaughan controls from within his opponent's guard. Oyama has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Vaughan decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Oyama, up you get! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mas Oyama will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Vaughan looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Marcellus Vaughan has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Vaughan throws a lazy right hand but Oyama sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Oyama closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Oyama is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Vaughan is trying to get back to full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vaughan trying to control but Oyama postures up.
Vaughan is trying to stand up here but Oyama is controlling him well. Vaughan is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Vaughan is trying to stand back up but Oyama is controlling him

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Oyama throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Vaughan tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Oyama is in Vaughan's guard. Vaughan keeping full guard, as Oyama tries to pass. Oyama trying to control but Vaughan is working from the bottom. Oyama controlling from the top position. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Oyama content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Marcellus Vaughan has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Mas Oyama is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Oyama looking to sit in guard and control but Vaughan gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
And that's the end of the fight! Mas Oyama comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Oyama has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
