Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Joshua Perez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Luke Price (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Perez kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is It's Goin Down by T.C.. Joshua Perez has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Joshua Perez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Luke Price! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Price lands a jab. Price is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Perez. Price throws a jab but it's blocked by Perez. Price chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Perez can pounce on him.
Perez connects with a looping right hand.
A looping hook to the body misses from Price. Perez does a little dance to reset his feet. Price closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Perez did well to prevent Price getting side control. Perez trying to control from the bottom.
Perez is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Price is looking for a kimura here.
Price is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Perez doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Price. Price wants to work for an arm triangle but Perez is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Perez flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.

Wait, no, Perez rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Price's guard! Nice work there by Perez! Price working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Perez doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Perez manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Perez looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Price lands with a hook. Perez tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head. Price throws a looping overhand right but Perez ducks down to avoid it. Perez wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection. Perez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Perez throws a nice outside leg kick. Price throws a body punch but Perez moves out of range. Price misses with a body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Price with a hook. Price lands with a cross. Price fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Perez to the ground. Price is now in Perez's guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Price postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Perez is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Price, into his guard. Price is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Perez has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Price is proving hard to escape from. Price is pulling down on Perez's head to control his posture. Perez wants to stand but Price has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Price has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Perez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Perez thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Price looking for a guillotine here but Perez defends easily.

A close second round but Luke Price will probably get the nod - 10:9. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! This is the final round!

Price throws a hook but Perez avoids it easily. Perez thumps Price with a low kick. Perez is looking to chop away at Price's legs. Luke Price seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Price moves out of range of the strikes. Perez drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Perez lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Price fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Perez is looking to score with low kicks. Price swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

That's one minute gone in the round. Perez takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Perez throws a low kick, looking for Price's leg but Price calmly moves out of range. Price checks a leg kick nicely. Price scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. A nice inside leg kick there by Perez. That's going to slow Price down. Price loads up on a big right hand but Perez slips the punch. Price checks a leg kick nicely. Perez is looking to slow Price down with leg kicks. Price throws a body punch but Perez moves out of range. Perez throws a body kick that misses. Perez thumps Price with a low kick. Perez tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Price paws at him with a jab and circles away. Perez slips a jab and a cross from Price.

Price drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Perez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Price has Perez in his guard. Perez tries to free his leg and advance position but Price is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Perez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Perez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Price throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Joshua Perez. I think Price has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
