PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Piolet Wilson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mohamed Hassan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Wilson might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Jaded. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mohamed Hassan!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Ian Loll.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hassan instigates a clinch.
Hassan lands a knee to the head.

It looks like Piolet Wilson has been cut.
Wilson working hard to break the clinch.

Hassan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Wilson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Hassan eats them both and turns towards Wilson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Wilson will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Hassan throws a poor cross that misses
and Wilson counters with a three punch combo that has Hassan backing up. Hassan nods at Wilson to acknowledge the strikes.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A nice combination there by Wilson.

Hassan rushes Wilson and presses him up against the cage.

Hassan manages to break the clinch.
Hassan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Wilson rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Hassan moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Hassan should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Wilson tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Hassan counters by clinching up.
Hassan is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Wilson is trying to break the clinch but Hassan has him pressed against the cage.

Hassan jumps guard but Wilson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Piolet Wilson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mohamed Hassan.
Hassan prevents Wilson from breaking the clinch.

Wilson is looking to break free of the clinch but Hassan has double underhooks.

Hassan breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hassan takes the fight into the clinch.
Hassan changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Wilson fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Wilson!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hassan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Wilson as he jumps to the side.
Hassan tries to close the distance and clinch but Wilson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wilson leaves Hassan with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Piolet Wilson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Wilson digs a good body shot into Hassan's ribs.
Hassan tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wilson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Horrible takedown attempt by Hassan or perhaps it was just good defense by Wilson, which made it look bad.
Wilson fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hassan looks winded!
Wilson throws a one two combo.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hassan shoots in for a double leg but Wilson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Wilson connects with a superb combination that knocks Hassan out cold! The referee charges across the mat and tackles Wilson before he can land any more shots to the unconscious Hassan!
