The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Wesley Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Macleod tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
akey is looking to clinch but Macleod is avoiding it.
akey avoids the head kick by Macleod.
Macleod swats away the attempt to clinch by akey.
akey wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
akey doesn't manage to clinch there - Macleod circles away.
akey gets the takedown into side control.
Macleod manages to get back to half guard.
Macleod is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but akey pulls his head out easily.
Macleod pushes akey off looking to stand but akey dives back in and keeps control.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
akey thows a huge punch but Macleod dodges it nicely.
akey is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Macleod doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time akey.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

so akey counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Macleod escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. akey gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
akey wanted to stand there but Macleod had control of the position.

Macleod is looking for a triangle but akey pushes his legs off easily.

akey controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
akey throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Macleod not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Macleod has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. akey is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Macleod.
akey decides to take the fight back to the feet.
akey closes this distance looking for a takedown but Macleod circles away.

Macleod fakes a jab and throws a low kick but akey checks it well.
akey scores with a one two! Macleod had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

akey is looking for a kimura but Macleod is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for akey to get the leverage.

akey shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Macleod's guard.

Macleod throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
akey drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says akey as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Macleod screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with akey! Nice submission victory there!
