Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jack Balboa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and the reeper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Balboa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, the reeper!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Stewart Dunkirk and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Balboa shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says reeper as he avoids it easily.
Balboa throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around reeper's waist but reeper gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Balboa off to one side.
The fight stays on the outside here - reeper looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
reeper keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Balboa. That's going to take a lot out of him.

and Balboa counters with a nice double leg into side control. reeper won't be happy with that.

Balboa misses with some ground and pound and reeper recovers position to half guard.
Balboa is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Balboa is working for a kimura but reeper is defending it quite comfortably.

reeper manages to get to full guard.

reeper looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
reeper tries to land a sweep but no joy.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

reeper is working an open guard so Balboa takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
reeper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Balboa pinned against the cage. Balboa gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
reeper fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
reeper looks gassed!
reeper tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Balboa swivels and escapes.

reeper wants to hold on but Balboa pushes him away.

Balboa shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Balboa was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Balboa fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
reeper is desperately trying to improve his position but Balboa has a good base and remains in mount.

Balboa tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Balboa pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Balboa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Balboa wants to get back to striking at distance but reeper won't allow it.

reeper changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Balboa fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Balboa closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Balboa is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt reeper will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Balboa works to advance to full mount. reeper defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Balboa takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
reeper is desperately trying to improve his position but Balboa has a good base and remains in mount.

reeper is looking to get to half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
reeper tries to reverse the position but Balboa maintains control.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The referee stands the fighters back up. Jack Balboa just wasn't active enough from the dominant position.
reeper shoots in but Balboa avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Jack Balboa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
reeper looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Balboa shoots in and drives through. reeper sprawls well.

Balboa is positioning himself to get back to half guard.

Balboa is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Balboa wants to lay and pray for a moment but reeper keeps working.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Balboa is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt reeper will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.

Balboa tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Balboa has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Balboa tries to move into full mount but can't pass reeper's legs.
reeper pushes Balboa away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Balboa gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Balboa stands up and beckons reeper to his feet.
Jack Balboa is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Balboa tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
No luck for reeper with that takedown attempt.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Balboa is looking to work some ground and pound but reeper has wrist control.

reeper has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Balboa off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

and reeper counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Balboa's guard now.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jack Balboa. That's going to take a lot out of him.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Jack Balboa.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Balboa, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
