Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mascio Dos Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lobster Moonbeam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Moonbeam has chosen white rabbit by jefferson airplane as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lobster Moonbeam was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mascio Dos Santos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lobster Moonbeam!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, George Francis and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dos Santos tries to clinch but Moonbeam is having none of it.

Moonbeam shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Moonbeam looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Dos Santos is looking to improve his position but Moonbeam isn't that keen on the idea.
Dos Santos is working hard here to advance position.
Moonbeam sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Dos Santos gets back to half guard.
Moonbeam moves nicely into side control.
Moonbeam wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dos Santos keeps working.

Lobster Moonbeam dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Moonbeam shoots in but no luck this time.
Dos Santos rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Moonbeam moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Moonbeam shoots in but Dos Santos avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dos Santos throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Dos Santos shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Dos Santos showed some decent athleticism there.

Dos Santos is working for a submission of some sort.
Dos Santos with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Moonbeam makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Moonbeam.
Dos Santos won't allow Moonbeam to sweep him here.

Moonbeam looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Dos Santos passes into half guard.
Moonbeam is breathing heavily.
Dos Santos wants to free his trapped foot but Moonbeam is holding on for dear life with his legs.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.

Dos Santos moves nicely into side control.
You can see the frustration on Moonbeam's face as Dos Santos controls the position.

Dos Santos tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Dos Santos tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Moonbeam tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Dos Santos wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Dos Santos wants to control but Moonbeam is keeping him busy.
Moonbeam prevents Dos Santos from moving into mount.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Dos Santos tries to clinch there but Moonbeam circles away.
Dos Santos fails to land with a series of punches.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Moonbeam gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Dos Santos counters with a nice double leg into side control. Moonbeam won't be happy with that.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mascio Dos Santos dominated that second round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Moonbeam gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dos Santos regains guard.

Moonbeam takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Moonbeam changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Dos Santos looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Moonbeam is trying to move to mount but Dos Santos reverses beautifully and ends up in Moonbeam's guard.

Dos Santos stays in close to Moonbeam's body and controls the position.
Dos Santos trying to control the position from guard on top but Moonbeam is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Moonbeam is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Dos Santos is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Moonbeam is working for a kimura but Dos Santos is defending it quite comfortably.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Lobster Moonbeam.
I think Moonbeam has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
