The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Aaltonen.
Gracie avoids a kick to the body.
Aaltonen is looking to clinch but Gracie is avoiding it.
Aaltonen throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Aaltonen's corner calls for a 1,2 combination and Aaltonen duly obliges.
Aaltonen wants to clinch up but Gracie keeps it at a distance.
Aaltonen throws a sloppy head kick and Gracie moves out of range easily.
Aaltonen shoots in but no luck this time.

No joy there for Gracie, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Aaltonen clinches up with Gracie and pushes him back against the cage.
Gracie breaks from the clinch.

and Aaltonen counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Aaltonen tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Gracie counters with a nice double leg into side control. Aaltonen won't be happy with that.
Aaltonen is breathing heavily.
Gracie has hold of Aaltonen's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Aaltonen tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Gracie cranks the arm and Aaltonen screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Aaltonen, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
