Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Omar Little!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Armando Smith!
The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Little throws a right and a left that Smith avoids nicely.
A punch combination from Little misses.
Little throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Smith showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Little.
Smith gets a takedown into half guard.
Smith winds up and cracks Little with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Smith really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Little. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Smith lands strikes from half guard.
Little wants to get back to full guard.
Smith working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Little is rocked!
Smith lands a big elbow from half guard. That looks like it's hurt Little quite badly. Little pulls Smith in close trying to recover. Smith postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Little on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Little doesn't seem to be complaining too much.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Armando Smith!
