Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Michael Dudikoff!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Re Christensen!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Marco Blurstr�m and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dudikoff misses with a body shot.
Dudikoff fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Dudikoff misses with the combination.
Dudikoff keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Christensen.
Dudikoff takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
It looks like Michael Dudikoff has been cut.
Christensen misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Dudikoff.
Dudikoff shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Christensen but Christensen pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Christensen throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Christensen throws a left and a right that both miss
enabling Dudikoff to counter with a crisp jab.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Dudikoff!
Christensen lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Dudikoff misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Dudikoff. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dudikoff shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Christensen lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Christensen lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Dudikoff is breathing heavily.
Christensen circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Dudikoff to the canvas! Dudikoff doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Christensen keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
