Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Alonzo Barrera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendrick Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Garcia has chosen Break Stuff as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kendrick Garcia!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Kenichi Hosakawa.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barrera tries to clinch but Garcia moves out of range.

Barrera has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Garcia is working away from the top position though.

Barrera wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Barrera holds on and takes a little breather.

Barrera working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Garcia doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Garcia manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Barrera tries to land a front kick but Garcia steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

and Garcia counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Barrera's guard now.
Barrera has control of Garcia's left arm, preventing Garcia from doing any damage.

Barrera escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Garcia gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Barrera will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Barrera wants to sweep but no luck.

Barrera is pulling down on Garcia's head to control his posture.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We're going to have a standup here because Alonzo Barrera wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

That was a close second round but I would say that Alonzo Barrera will probably get the nod.

You can see the frustration on Barrera's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Kendrick Garcia comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Garcia has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
