Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Tomas Palmer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Viper Apex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tomas Palmer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Viper Apex! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Frank Dennis and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Apex fails to land with a series of punches.
Palmer shoots in and drives through. Apex sprawls well. Apex has managed to clinch.
Palmer really is built like a bowling ball. I wonder if he'd roll if you pushed him down a hill... Palmer breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Apex shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Palmer's guard. Apex is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long. Apex trying to stand up but can't free himself from Palmer's guard. Palmer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Palmer seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now. Apex trying to control but Palmer is working from the bottom. Apex pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Palmer is keeping the position for now.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Viper Apex hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Apex is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Palmer's half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Apex is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Palmer is trying to get back to full guard. Palmer is trying to stand back up but Apex is controlling him
Palmer is looking to improve his position.
Apex stalling. Apex lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Palmer could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Apex is looking to take a break and control but Palmer is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Palmer has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Apex is on him like a limpet, forcing Palmer back against the cage. Palmer wants a takedown.
A head punch on the inside from Palmer fails to land. Apex is stalling here.
Palmer has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate. Palmer lands with a light punch inside. Palmer looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Apex pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Apex fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Palmer, pushing him back against the cage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Palmer throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Apexs head. Apex lands a nice shot to the body. Palmer is trying to pull guard but Apex has him pressed against the cage. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Tomas Palmer. That's going to take a lot out of him. Palmer is fighting off a takedown attempt but Apex is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Palmer to the mat. Palmer regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Palmer controls Apex momentarily but Apex frees himself. Apex content to stall in guard here. Palmer wants to hit a switch here but Apex passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Palmer there! Apex controlling his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Apex wants to control the pace but Palmer is squirming around nicely. Palmer is looking to improve his position but Apex isn't that keen on the idea. Apex lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Palmer hang on? The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Apex trying to control but he's not successful this time. Palmer can't escape the position.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Palmer defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Apex. Palmer can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Viper Apex dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Nice cross by Apex. Apex scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Apex trying to mount his opponent but Palmer defends it. Palmer gets back to full guard.
Apex stopping the sweep attempt from Palmer. Apex is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Apex wants to get up but he can't break Palmer's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Palmer working a defensive guard here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Palmer pulls Apex in to control the position. Palmer pushes Apex off and gets back to his feet.
Palmer uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Apex. Apex closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Palmer to the mat! Palmer manages to get full guard. Palmer lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard. Palmer wants to stand but Apex has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Apex looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Palmer slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Palmer stopping the sweep attempt from Apex.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Apex keeping moving, preventing Palmer from controlling successfully. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
We're going to have a standup here because Tomas Palmer wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Apex scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice. Palmer tries to get back to half guard but can't. Apex stands up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Apex shoots in and bounces Palmer off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Apex wants to pass the guard but Palmer is keeping the position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Palmer looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Apex content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Viper Apex showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Apex feints and as Palmer raises his hands in defense, Apex changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Palmer is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Palmer tries to land a sweep but no joy. Apex content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots. Apex got a little sloppy there for a moment and Palmer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Apex has managed to get both his arms back between Palmer's legs - danger averted. Apex distracts Palmer with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Viper Apex has got the better of the ground game so far. Palmer being controlled here, momentarily. Apex trying to control the position from guard on top but Palmer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
That's one minute gone in the round. Palmer throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Apex looking to pass the guard. Apex trying to control but Palmer is working from the bottom. Apex wants to stand but Palmer has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Viper Apex has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Apex closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Palmer did well to prevent Apex getting side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Palmer is looking for a sweep. Apex is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Apex is pressing down on Palmer's thigh, looking to free his foot. Palmer is holding on for now. Apex uses his free foot to push down on Palmer's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Palmer. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Apex wants to finish this one by submission but Palmer is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Apex. Palmer has given up his back here.
Palmer wants to control his opponent's hands but Apex gets his hands free. Apex trying desperately to keep hold of the dominant position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Palmer rolls, trying to escape but Apex keeps control of the position.
Apex trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Palmer doesn't escape. Apex tightening his grip on Palmer, looking for the choke. Apex has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Palmer's body.
Palmer tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Palmer is wriggling around trying to escape.
Apex connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Palmer sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Palmer is not content to let Apex control the position. Apex controlling the pace. Palmer actively working from the bottom here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This has been an exciting period of action! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Apex perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Tomas Palmer has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Viper Apex is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Apex's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
And that's the end of the fight! Viper Apex comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Apex has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
