The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christopher Iii shoots in but doesn't get the takedown

and Lott counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
Lott will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Christopher Iii throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Lott escapes and throws Christopher Iii's legs to the side, diving into side control!
Christopher Iii can't do much from the bottom here.

Lott stands up and we're back to a striking position.

Lott shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Lott showed some decent athleticism there.

Lott's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
