Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Carl Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Nader (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Nader has chosen This Means War as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carl Johnson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Frank Nader! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nader shoots in but no luck this time. Johnson swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Nader counters with a good, hard body kick but Johnson shrugs it off. Nader is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A punch lands to the side of Nader 's head but he takes it in his stride. A slow jab from Johnson misses its intended target. Johnson scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Johnson lands a glancing blow to the side of Nader's head. Johnson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Nader at a distance.
Johnson throws a hook but Nader blocks it. Nader gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Nader avoids a punch combination nicely.
Nader keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Johnson. Johnson cracks a nice hook into Nader's ribs. Johnson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Nader manages to avoid it. Johnson throws a right and a left that Nader avoids nicely.

enabling Nader to counter with a crisp jab. A lazy left from Johnson finds it's target. A telegraphed right hand from Johnson misses the target. Johnson misses with a hook. Johnson misses with a lunging right hand
and Nader counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Carl Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johnson fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Nader on the side of the head. Nader changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Johnson tries to avoid it but Nader manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Johnson to the ground. Johnson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Johnson misses with an uppercut
and Nader counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Johnson's guard now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Johnson wants to stand but Nader is controlling the position. Nader is pushing down on Johnson's leg trying to pass to half guard. Johnson is fighting to maintain full guard but Nader has managed to sneak the leg through. Nader wants to pass to mount but Johnson is defending the position. Nader prevents Johnson from standing back up.
Nader seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson is trying to stand up here but Nader is controlling him well. Johnson trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful. Johnson is breathing heavily. Nader trying to control from half guard but Johnson is working away. Nader is looking for a kimura here.
Nader is looking for a kimura but Johnson is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Nader to get the leverage. Johnson is trying to stand back up but Nader is controlling him
Nader wants to lay and pray for a moment but Johnson keeps working. Nader is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Nader is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Nader. Nader is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nader is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Johnson has managed to free his arm - good work. Johnson scrambles, trying to get to his feet, but Nader manages to mount him!
Nader has hold of Johnson's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Johnson manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Nader stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Johnson throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nader closes this distance looking for a takedown but Johnson circles away. Carl Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Nader. The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Nader is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Johnson. Johnson throws a right hand that misses
and Nader counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nader. Johnson looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Johnson wants to get back to striking at distance but Nader won't allow it.
Johnson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. Nader jumps guard and drags Johnson to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Nader is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Johnson defends well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Nader managing to control the position. Johnson has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Johnson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Nader is proving hard to escape from. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Frank Nader will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Johnson keeps the fight on the outside. Nader moves to clinch but Johnson breaks away and Johnson counters with a nice uppercut. Nader walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head. Johnson misses with a body shot.

Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Johnson tries to escape but Nader is in control. Johnson on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Johnson tries to get out of the position. Nader decides to stand up, so the ref orders Johnson to his feet. Johnson throws an off balance right hand
and Nader counters with a slapping leg kick. Nader tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Johnson swivels and escapes. Johnson scores with a nice head shot. Johnson circles away from the clinch attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johnson throws a jab but it's blocked by Nader. Johnson throws a right and a left that Nader avoids nicely. Carl Johnson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Johnson lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin. Nader keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Johnson. Johnson misses with a series of wild punches.
Nader shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Johnson pinned against the cage. Johnson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Sloppy strikes from Johnson. Those never looked like landing. Johnson misses with an uppercut. Nader ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Johnson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Nader eats them both and turns towards Johnson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nader. Carl Johnson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Nader.

Carl Johnson is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Nader moves out of range as Johnson strikes. Nader tries to clinch up but Johnson circles away and keeps his distance. Johnson connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Nader's hands. Nader doesn't manage to clinch there - Johnson circles away.
Nader takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Johnson lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Johnson is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all. Nader is trying hard to land a takedown here. Johnson sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Johnson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Johnson pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Nader back to the cage. Johnson follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Nader forces Johnson back against the cage and clinches. Nader goes for a takedown in the clinch but Johnson prevents it.
Johnson is trying to break free. Nader is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.

This has been an exciting period of action! Nader keeping moving, preventing Johnson from controlling successfully. Nader looking to control.
Nader working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Johnson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Johnson postures up.
Johnson being controlled here momentarily. Nader has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Johnson has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nader is stalling here.
Johnson is pressed up against the cage. Nader has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Johnson down to the mat. Johnson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Johnson stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Johnson wants it to stay on the feet. Johnson connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Johnson paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button. A left lands for Johnson. Johnson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Johnson throws a series of punches but Nader avoids them all with ease. Johnson feints a jab promting Nader to slip. Johnson then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Nader slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.

and Nader counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Nader manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Johnson on his heels. He'll look to pass Johnson's guard now, I'm sure. Nader pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nader is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Johnson has managed to escape the submission attempt.

In defeat, Carl Johnson stepped up to the mic, saying 'I try to give my best i always fight 100 % but this time he was better than me may be next time i wll be better.
