Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Roberto Clean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeffrey Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jeffrey Hughes was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Roberto Clean!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeffrey Hughes!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hughes has Clean up against the cage in a clinch.
Hughes effectively controlling the action here.
Clean looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Hughes creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
A short body shot lands from Hughes as the two fighters clinch.
Hughes presses Clean against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Hughes lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Clean or not.
Clean is trying to push Hughes away but Hughes has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Nice body punch from Hughes - that landed with a thud.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hughes scores with a nice hook to the head.
Hughes stalling.
Clean really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Hughes misses with a hook to the ribs.
Hughes pushes Clean back against the cage and unloads with a body punch.
Clean tries to circle away but Hughes has him pinned against the cage.
A short right from Hughes.
Hughes keeps control of Clean as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Hughes.
Hughes blocks a body shot from Clean.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clean is trying to break free.
A nice left hand lands by Hughes.
Hughes lands a shoulder strike.
Hughes lands with a left to the head.
Clean wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Clean wants to get back to striking at distance but Hughes won't allow it.
Clean wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Hughes lands an uppercut.
Clean's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!


Clean is rocked!
Hughes lands a big right hand that drops Clean! The killer instinct kicks in and Hughes finishes his opponent with a series of strikes from mount. A dominating finish by Hughes!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jeffrey Hughes!
An out of breath Jeffrey Hughes thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
