Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Owen!
The judges for this bout are George Francis, Cecil Peabody and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Gracie lands in his opponent's guard.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Gracie drops back, looking for a kneebar! Owen looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Owen looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Owen!

Gracie is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Owen wants to stand but Gracie is controlling his arm.
Gracie trying to control but Owen flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
Owen keeps control of the position as Gracie tries to break free.

Gracie rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Gracie is trying to get back to full guard.
Owen tries to stand and escape but Gracie is controlling the position.
Gracie slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
Gracie bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Owen's guard.

Gracie stays in close to Owen's body and controls the position.

Owen wants to get back to his feet but Gracie is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Owen can't keep his opponent in guard - Gracie advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Owen looks like he's trying to stand up.
Owen tries to get to full guard but Gracie has control of the leg.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gracie is stalling here. Owen is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Gracie seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Owen has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Gracie is trying to improve his position.

Owen working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Gracie tries to bench press Owen off him but Owen keeps the position.
Gracie manages to get back to half guard.
Gracie wants to control but Owen is keeping busy.
Gracie is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Owen's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Owen's back!
What can Owen do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

We've been hearing good reports from Gracie's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Gracie is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Owen won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Gracie off his unconscious opponent!
