The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter slips a straight right by Horizon.
Horizon misses with an uppercut.

Hunter rushes Horizon and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Hunter breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Horizon misses with a straight right.
Hunter looks for a takedown but Horizon sprawls well.

and Horizon counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
The fighters circle momentarily. Horizon darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Hunter takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Horizon keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Horizon pushes Hunter up against the cage in a clinch.
Hunter tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Horizon just stands there and leans against the cage.
Evan Horizon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dex Hunter.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hunter tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Horizon smiles and moves away.
Hunter dives in and grabs Horizon's left leg, looking for a takedown. Horizon pushes down on Hunter's head and hops out.
Evan Horizon is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hunter shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Horizon connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
We've been told by Horizon's head coaches at Instincts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Hunter shoots in for a takedown but Horizon shows good takedown defense.

Horizon connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Horizon's jab looks to have found its range, popping Hunter under the eye.

It looks like Dex Hunter has been cut.

Hunter shoots in and drives through. Horizon sprawls well.

Horizon fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Hunter looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Hunter is trying desperately to land a takedown but Horizon is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Hunter.
Hunter takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
Horizon swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Horizon throws a good cross that connects.

Horizon drops Hunter with a beautiful combination! Hunter stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Horizon is looking for the KO!
Hunter takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Hunter takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Hunter takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Horizon blocks a head kick by Hunter.

Horizon cracks Hunter with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Horizon has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hunter to stand back up!

Hunter is rocked!
Hunter gets caught by a big overhand right and goes down! Horizon gets on top of him and starts throwing some serious punches until the ref intervenes and stops the fight!
