The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aremis pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Wilson scores with a jab. Aremis acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Wilson keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.
Aremis is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We've been informed that Aremis has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Wilson throws the kick towards the body but Aremis avoids it.
Wilson throws a leg kick but Aremis sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Wilson ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Aremis moves away.
Wade Wilson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Aremis lands a big uppercut and Wilson crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Wilson looks OK. Aremis waves Wilson back to his feet!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Wilson fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Aremis is out of range.
Aremis lands a jab to Wilson's midsection.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Aremis, right into the meat.
Wilson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Aremis eats them both and turns towards Wilson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Wilson changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Aremis misses with a hook. Wilson ducked under it nicely.
Wilson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Wilson throws a low kick but Aremis avoids it.
We've been hearing reports that Wilson has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Wilson throws a sloppy head kick
and Aremis counters with a nice low kick that buckles Wilson's knee momentarily.
Wilson goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Wilson is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Aremis.
Wilson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
The fighters circling - Wilson throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Aremis fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Wilson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Wilson is breathing heavily.
Aremis throws a low kick but Wilson avoids it.
Wilson throws a leg kick that misses.
Aremis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Wilson doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Wilson swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Wilson takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Aremis feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Wilson sprawling to the canvas! Wilson rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Aremis finish him?!
Oh Wilson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

It looks like Wade Wilson has been cut.
