Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daiki Tanimoto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stan Mcdevett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mcdevett is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: I Walk Alone - Saliva. Stan Mcdevett will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daiki Tanimoto! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 6 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stan Mcdevett! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Timothy Bukovac and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tanimoto misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Mcdevett throws a right and a left that Tanimoto avoids nicely. A jab from Mcdevett misses. Tanimoto showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mcdevett.
No joy there for Mcdevett, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Mcdevett throws an overhand right that lands on Tanimoto's shoulder, as Tanimoto tries to avoid the shot. Mcdevett blocks a head kick by Tanimoto.
Mcdevett throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tanimoto was covering up waiting for the punch and Mcdevett finishes the takedown easily into guard. Mcdevett is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Tanimoto is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Tanimoto can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Mcdevett controls the pace. Tanimoto looking for a guillotine here but Mcdevett defends easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mcdevett engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Stan Mcdevett has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. A good leg kick by Tanimoto. Mcdevett avoids the head kick by Tanimoto.
Mcdevett fails to land with a series of punches.
Mcdevett misses with a hook. Tanimoto ducked under it nicely. Tanimoto throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Mcdevett has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout. Mcdevett blocks a head kick by Tanimoto.
Mcdevett throws a combination that misses and Tanimoto counters with a nice double leg into guard. Tanimoto thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Mcdevett wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Tanimoto drops back looking for a leg! Mcdevett is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Mcdevett manages to kick Tanimoto off! Tanimoto jumps back into Mcdevett's guard. Mcdevett is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Mcdevett pulls Tanimoto in close to his closed guard and prevents Tanimoto from doing any damage or advancing position. Tanimoto stopping the sweep attempt from Mcdevett. Mcdevett is trying to control the position but Tanimoto postures up.

Mcdevett moves out of range of the body kick. Tanimoto fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Some wild striking there from Mcdevett.
Tanimoto shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Mcdevett cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Mcdevett lands a two punch combo.
Tanimoto closes the distance and clinches. Tanimoto has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Mcdevett avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Daiki Tanimoto. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tanimoto looking for a takedown. This has been an exciting period of action! Mcdevett lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!
Mcdevett pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. Mcdevett has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Tanimoto regains guard immediately. Tanimoto is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Mcdevett is aware though and is defending well. Tanimoto looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Tanimoto manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mcdevett manages to get himself to full guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tanimoto drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tanimoto jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Mcdevett really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tanimoto. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tanimoto postures up in Mcdevett's guard and throws a big left but Mcdevett blocks it. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Tanimoto is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Tanimoto throwing strikes but missing. Tanimoto throws a big right hand that misses. Mcdevett controlling the position. Tanimoto has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Mcdevett is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Stan Mcdevett will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action!
Mcdevett tests Tanimoto's chin there with a solid looking shot. Tanimoto changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mcdevett tries to avoid it but Tanimoto manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mcdevett to the ground. Mcdevett escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Tanimoto closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Mcdevett wants the takedown. Tanimoto is fighting it off but Mcdevett persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Tanimoto's guard against the cage. Mcdevett wants to stand but Tanimoto is controlling his posture from full guard. Tanimoto is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but Mcdevett frees his head nicely. Oh but Tanimoto has switched to an armbar! Mcdevett is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
