The judges for this bout are William Gold, Andrew Berry and James Atkins.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Held misses with a takedown attempt
and Nielsen counters with an inside leg kick.
Held tries for a takedown but Nielsen circles away easily
and Nielsen counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Nielsen.

Held looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Nielsen has picked Held up and slammed him! Held can't keep hold of the triangle and Nielsen manages to pass to side control!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nielsen creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.
Nielsen scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Held to see if he's OK.

Held has his foot on Nielsen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Nielsen works his way back into a safe position though.
Nielsen wants to get up but he can't break Held's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Our spies down at at Cozad MMA London inform us that Held has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Held is fighting off a takedown attempt but Nielsen is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Held to the mat. Held regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
