Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between James Butler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rocky Nergal (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Butler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rocky Nergal! The judges for this bout are George Francis, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Butler moves into the clinch. Nergal is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Butler is defending well. Butler wants to break free but Nergal has control.
Nergal has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Butler regains guard immediately. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Butler tries to land a sweep but no joy. Butler has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall. Nergal controls from within his opponent's guard. Nergal is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nergal postures up in Butler's guard and throws a big left but Butler blocks it. Nergal trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Nergal throwing strikes from guard but Butler blocks nicely. Nergal wants to pass the guard but Butler is keeping the position. Nergal has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Butler is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nergal trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nergal working some strikes from top position. Nergal distracts Butler with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Butler knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Nergal on the ground. Nergal forces his way into half guard. Nergal is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Butler defends it well. Nergal is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Butler is just riding it out for now. Nergal eventually gives up the hold.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nergal missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Nergal wants to take a breather but Butler is having none of it. Butler is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Nergal scores with a couple of nice shots.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nergal seems to be looking for submissions.
Nergal trying to control the action but Butler is working from the bottom. Nergal thows a huge punch but Butler dodges it nicely.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Nergal is looking for a kimura here.

Rocky Nergal dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Butler doesn't succeed with the takedown and Nergal counters with a straight right hand. Butler misses with a takedown attempt and Nergal counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. Butler walks forward, straight into a front kick from Nergal. Butler takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Nergal scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Butler has closed the distance and engaged Nergal in a clinch.
Butler pulls guard successfully.
Butler manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Nergal sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Butler wants to lay and pray for a moment but Nergal keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round. Butler wants to pass the guard but Nergal is defending well. Nergal gets back to full guard.
Nergal has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Butler can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Nergal tries to land a sweep but no joy. Butler postures up and lands a big shot to Nergal's brow. Nergal has his foot on Butler's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Butler works his way back into a safe position though. Butler tries to stand but Nergal is controlling from the bottom. Butler is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Our spies down at at BLKOUT Training Center inform us that Nergal has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off? Nergal is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Butler cracks Nergal with a solid left hand. Butler wants to control from the top but Nergal keeps moving. This has been an exciting period of action! Nergal wants to sweep but no luck. Butler trying to control but Nergal is working from the bottom. Butler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Nergal swivels though and keeps the full guard. Nergal looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Butler trying to control but Nergal is working from the bottom. Butler trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Nergal is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
The ref stands the fighters back up because James Butler just wasn't active enough. Nergal fakes a jab and scores with a low kick. Nergal fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Butler has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage. Nergal keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Butler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Butler with a lazy takedown attempt and Nergal counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Nergal. Butler fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Nergal changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Butler fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Nergal moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Nergal tries to keep at a distance but Butler has taken the fight into the clinch. Butler has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Nergal avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch. Butler wants to take the fight to the mat but Nergal manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch. Nergal has hold of one of Butler's legs. Butler is fighting the takedown attempt but Nergal gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nergal trying to control but Butler is working from the bottom. Butler working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Nergal. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nergal trying to control but Butler is working from the bottom. Nergal looking to control the position here, rather than advance. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Rocky Nergal showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! And we move into the final round!
Nergal goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Nergal lands a nice looking body kick. Butler shoots and misses and Nergal counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Nergal trying to control but Butler is working from the bottom. Butler wants to stand but Nergal is controlling the position. Nergal sitting in guard, not really doing much. Nergal won't allow Butler to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Nergal working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Nergal stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Butler swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Rocky Nergal. Butler misses with a takedown and Nergal counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Nergal can't get the takedown.
Nergal tries to score a body lock takedown but Butler shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Butler swings wildly with an uppercut but Nergal uses good head movement to avoid it. Nergal has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Butler clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Butler tries to break free.
Nergal trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Butler doesn't escape. Nergal misses with a punch to the head. Nergal is punishing Butler with some ground and pound. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nergal tries to keep control of the position but Butler is staying busy. Butler covering up well and avoiding damage.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nergal punches the canvas rather than the man. Well, with Nergal on his back, surely it's only a matter of time before Butler is tapping out... Can he escape the position? Nergal scores with strikes from the back.
Nergal is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Nergal missing with strikes from the back. Nergal is working for the choke. I would put my money on him to finish from this position. He's rolled onto his back and has dragged Butler with him. Butler is trying to defend but Nergal has an arm under the chin now! Butler grimaces and is forced to tap out!
