Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Morgan Vinson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Vazquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Morgan Vinson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, David Vazquez! The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Summer Carpenter and Chris Dean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vazquez shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Vazquez showed some decent athleticism there. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Vazquez not landing any meaningful shots this time. Vazquez is just content to waste time from the top position. Vinson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Vazquez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Vinson swivels though and keeps the full guard. Vinson will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
That's one minute gone in the round. Vinson keeping moving, preventing Vazquez from controlling successfully.
David Vazquez has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Vazquez fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Vinson sprawls well initially but Vazquez persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Vazquez wants to take a breather but Vinson is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Vazquez has decided to stand back up but his arm is trapped. Whilst he's worrying about his arm, Vinson works to full guard. Vinson keeping moving, preventing Vazquez from controlling successfully. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

It looks like Morgan Vinson has been cut. David Vazquez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Vazquez tries to clinch but fails miserably and Vinson counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vazquez closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Vinson's guard. Vinson keeping full guard, as Vazquez tries to pass. Vinson wants to control but Vazquez passes easily into half guard.
Vazquez decides to stand and escape the position. Vazquez should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Vazquez throws a leg kick that is checked and Vinson counters with a low kick, right behind Vazquez 's knee. Vazquez doesn't manage to clinch there - Vinson circles away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vazquez shoots in and gets a takedown into Vinson's guard. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Vinson manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Vazquez manages to get himself to full guard.

Vinson loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Vinson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vazquez wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Vazquez advances to mount. Vazquez looking to control but Vinson is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Vazquez breaks from Vinson's wrist control and lands an elbow. Vinson is squirming around, avoiding Vazquez's attempts to control the action. Vazquez gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks! The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Vinson fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Vazquez avoids it really well and circles away. Vazquez changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Vinson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Vazquez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Morgan Vinson's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Vazquez stalling away here and it's allowed Vinson to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard. Vazquez looking to pass the guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Vazquez throwing shots but Vinson is blocking nicely. Vazquez is trying to control the action in half guard but Vinson is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Vazquez is working for a submission of some sort.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Vazquez. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Vazquez moves into full mount! Vinson won't be happy about that!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Vazquez trying to control but Vinson is having none of it. Vazquez has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Vinson's face.

Vazquez has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Vinson is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Morgan Vinson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! David Vazquez is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. And that's the end of the fight! David Vazquez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Vazquez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today.
