Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Aage Hansen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hyrek Hyrski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Aage Hansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Hyrek Hyrski!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Igor Prikhodko and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hansen fails to land the takedown.
Hansen shoots in looking for a takedown. Hyrski tries to sprawl out of it but Hansen keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Hyrski manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Hyrski closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Hyrski throws an elbow but Hansen slips to the side and avoids it well.
Hyrski wants to stand but Hansen is controlling his arm.
Hansen is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Hyrski off and has taken his back!
Hyrski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hansen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Hansen's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Hyrski trying to control the hands but Hansen won't let him.

Hyrski tries to escape the position.
Hyrski is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hansen misses with a punch to the head.

Hyrski manages to get to his feet, escaping the difficult position.
Hyrski throws a head kick but Hansen moves out of range.
Hyrski fails to land with a series of punches.
Hansen shoots in and drives through. Hyrski sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Aage Hansen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hansen throws a right hand that Hyrski ducks under and follows up with a left that Hyrski also avoids with ease.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Hansen tries to land a leg kick but Hyrski saw it coming and moves away.
Hyrski tries to close the distance and clinch but Hansen swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Hansen gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Hyrski counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hyrski.

Hyrski breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Hyrski circles away from the clinch attempt.
Hyrski scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
Hyrski paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Hansen misses with a takedown

and Hyrski counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hyrski.
Hansen is breathing heavily.
Hyrski gets underhooks to prevent Hansen's takedown attempt.

Hyrski manages to break the clinch.
Hansen with a poor takedown

and Hyrski counters with a takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hyrski lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Hansen tries to improve position but can't.

Hyrski decides to stand back up.
Hyrski throws a nice looking combination but Hansen bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Hyrski lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt.

and Hyrski counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Hyrski.

Hyrski breaks from the clinch.
A right-left combo lands from Hyrski.
Hyrski throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Hansen.
Good leg kick by Hyrski there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
A nice inside leg kick there by Hyrski. That's going to slow Hansen down.

Hyrski gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Hyrski breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hyrski looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Hyrski is trying to control the action in half guard but Hansen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Hyrski working over Hansen with some ground and pound. Hansen looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.
Hyrski slows the pace down in half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Hyrski postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Hansen to stand up.

Hyrski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hansen is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Hyrski tries to stand and escape but Hansen actually recovers to full guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Hansen can't keep his opponent in guard - Hyrski advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hyrek Hyrski dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!


Hyrski fails with the takedown.
Hyrski moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Nice uppercut lands for Hansen. That snapped Hyrski's head back.
Hansen tries for a takedown but Hyrski circles away easily
and Hyrski counters with an inside leg kick.

Hyrski closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Hansen is trying to escape back to his feet but Hyrski uses the scramble to pass into side control.

Hyrski has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Hyrski rushes Hansen and presses him up against the cage.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Hyrski pulls guard successfully.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Hyrski can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hansen trying to control the position from guard on top but Hyrski is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Hansen trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hyrski's guard.
Hyrski looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hansen is one step ahead there.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hansen is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Hyrski is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Hyrski throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Hansen is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Hyrski pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Hansen gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hansen wants to control the position but Hyrski says "no thanks buddy" and passes to half guard.

Hansen works his way to full guard. Good work.
Hyrski tries to stand but Hansen is controlling from the bottom.
Hansen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hyrski's guard.

Hansen drops back, looking for a kneebar! Hyrski looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Hyrski looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Hyrski!

Hyrski stands up and beckons Hansen to his feet.

Hyrek Hyrski showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Hyrski moves in looking to clinch but Hansen pushes him off.
Hansen shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hyrski pinned against the cage. Hyrski gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hansen pushes Hyrski off looking to stand but Hyrski dives back in and keeps control.

Hansen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Aage Hansen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Hansen is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Hansen is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Hyrski defends it well.

Hyrek Hyrski comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hyrski has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
