Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Mick Mutters (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Ash (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mutters comes to the cage accompanied by Hand of Doom. Adam Ash has the eye of the tiger tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Mick Mutters!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 1, fighting out of New York, Adam Ash!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, William Peck and Robert Douchet.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ash has Mutters up against the cage in a clinch.
Mutters throws a punch but it's blocked by Ash.
Our sources have told us that Mutters has been working on his knees in the buildup to the fight.

Ash's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Mutters blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

Mutters drops his hands momentarily and Ash takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

Ash changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Mutters tries to avoid it but Ash manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Mutters to the ground. Mutters escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ash keeps the fight on the outside.

Mutters tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ash paws at him with a jab and circles away.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Ash pulls guard.
Ash looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Ash avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Ash will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Mutters might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mutters missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Mutters avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Ash looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Mutters has picked Ash up and slammed him! Ash can't keep hold of the triangle and Mutters manages to pass to side control!

Ash is trying to strike from the bottom but Mutters has passed into full mount.
Ash has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.

Ash is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Mutters creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Ash escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Ash has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Mick Mutters will probably get the nod.

Ash shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Mutters's guard.

Ash drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Mutters manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ash has Mutters in his guard.

Mutters has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ash is proving hard to escape from.

Mutters wants to get up but he can't break Ash's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Ash is working an open guard so Mutters takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

That was a close second round but I would say that Mick Mutters will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Adam Ash seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Ash shoots for a takedown but Mutters saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Mick Mutters has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Adam Ash.

Mutters swings wildly with an uppercut but Ash uses good head movement to avoid it.

Ash escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Ash counters with a series of strikes. Mutters will be more careful next time no doubt.
Adam Ash is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Mutters lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Ash has clasped his hands together around Mutters's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Mutters is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ash has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Ash swings around for an armbar but Mutters sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Ash's guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
Adam Ash comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Mutters has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
