Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Juan Roc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Connor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Roc kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Pantera - I'm Broken. Juan Roc has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Roc!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Connor!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Gwen Towbar and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Connor shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Roc wants to get back to his feet.

Roc makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Connor decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Roc wants to get back to his feet.
Connor tries to pass to full mount but Roc defends it.
Roc is looking to escape.

Roc kicks off Connor and gets to his feet.
Roc throws a leg kick but Connor checks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Connor dodges the punch combination from Roc.
Connor throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Roc's waist but Roc gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Connor off to one side.
Roc misses with an uppercut. Connor saw that one coming.
Roc throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Connor uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Roc.
Nice sprawl there from Roc as Connor shoots in.

Connor changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Roc looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Roc sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Roc looks like he's trying to stand up.
Roc tries to kick Connor off in order to stand up. Connor Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.
Roc is breathing heavily.
Roc is looking to reverse the position.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Roc struggling a bit here.

Connor wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Roc, who protects the arm well.
Roc wants to control but Connor postures up.
Connor tries to advance to mount but Roc denies him.
Roc regains half guard.
Roc gets full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Roc wants to sweep but no luck.

Roc throws his legs up looking for a submission but Connor uses it to pass to side control.
Connor landing with strikes to the head and body from side control.

Connor has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Roc is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Connor yanks on the arm and Roc is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Connor.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). John Connor!
