Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Guy Cochrane (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Rekis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rekis has chosen AC/DC - Thunderstruck as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Guy Cochrane! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, John Rekis! The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Josh West and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rekis uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Cochrane. Cochrane tries to bum rush Rekis with a series of wild strikes but Rekis uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Cochrane throws a jab when Rekis was well out of range. Cochrane throws a right hand that misses
and Rekis counters with a nice double leg into side control. Cochrane won't be happy with that. Rekis trying to control the action but Cochrane is working from the bottom. Rekis connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Cochrane some visible discomfort.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rekis lands a few punches from side control. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Rekis tries for a kimura but Cochrane is defending well. Rekis is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Cochrane knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Rekis advances nicely into full mount. Rekis working the ground and pound effectively.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rekis is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Cochrane can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Rekis can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Cochrane is looking to escape. Rekis landing strikes, looking to finish! Rekis lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning. Cochrane on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Cochrane tries to get out of the position. Cochrane wants to control but Rekis is having none of it. Rekis has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Rekis trying to control but Cochrane is having none of it. A nice elbow there by Rekis.
It looks like Guy Cochrane has been cut.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rekis with a couple of short strikes. Cochrane knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rekis on the ground. Rekis putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Rekis landing strikes, looking to finish! Rekis lands a big elbow - Cochrane is in trouble! More strikes from the mount and Cochrane is forced to tap out!
