1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carlos Inman! The judges for this bout are Shirou Masuda, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Williamson fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Inman to the ground. Williamson is now in Inman's guard. Williamson missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Williamson with a flurry of punches that miss. Williamson is looking to work some ground and pound but Inman has wrist control. Williamson throws a strike but Inman rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Williamson wants to hit a switch here but Inman passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Williamson there! Williamson is trying to escape the mount.
Williamson slips a leg in and gets back to half guard. Williamson has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Williamson throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Williamson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Inman throws a nice looking combination but Williamson bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Williamson closes the distance and lands a one-two. Inman shoots and misses and Williamson counters by clinching up. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Williamson tries to circle away but Inman has him pinned against the cage. Williamson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Inman.
Williamson turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Williamson manages to end up in side control. Williamson looks up at the clock and then as Inman takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Williamson smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Inman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Inman takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Williamson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Inman down.

Inman turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Williamson throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Carlos Inman has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Louis Williamson is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Williamson is looking for a sweep.
