Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sasha Grey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 50 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jesse Hall!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grey is looking to clinch but Hall is avoiding it.
Grey doesn't manage to clinch there - Hall circles away.
Sloppy strikes from Hall. Those never looked like landing.
Hall avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Grey drives through with a takedown into Hall's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Hall managing to control the position.
Grey wants to control from the top but Hall keeps moving.
Hall looking to hit a scissor sweep but Grey is one step ahead there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Hall has his foot on Grey's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Grey works his way back into a safe position though.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Grey accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Hall tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Grey throws a big right hand that misses.

Grey postures up in Hall's guard and throws a big left but Hall blocks it.
Grey trying to control the position from guard on top but Hall is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Grey throwing strikes but missing.
Grey stands and throws Hall's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Hall regains half guard, as Grey was trying to land strikes.
Grey seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Grey thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Grey is controlling the pace.
Hall keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Grey missing with the ground and pound from half guard.
Grey throwing shots but Hall is blocking nicely.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hall is trying to control but can't.
Grey not landing any meaningful shots this time.

Grey is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.
Grey is stalling here. Hall is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Grey seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Hall has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Hall wants to stand but Grey has his arm trapped.

Grey gets back to half guard.
Hall seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

Grey actively working from the bottom here.
Grey wants to get back to his feet.
Hall tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Still in half guard, Hall seems content to control.

Grey looking for submissions off his back.
Hall is looking to stand up but he'll have to free his leg first. Instead, Grey manages to get to full guard.
Hall trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Grey is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Sasha Grey dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Grey shoots for a takedown but Hall saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Grey's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Hall connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Grey scrambles back to his feet.


It looks like Sasha Grey has been cut.
Grey tries a head kick but it misses.
Grey fails to land the takedown.
Hall misses with a few strikes there.
Jesse Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A telegraphed right hand from Hall misses the target.
Hall ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Grey tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Grey fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Grey tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hall swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Grey gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hall lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Hall avoiding damage as Grey throws knees to the body.

Grey has picked Hall up - he's going for a ride! Grey dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Grey stops Hall from getting back to his feet.
Grey prevents Hall from improving his position.
Grey stalling away here and it's allowed Hall to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Grey wants to pass the guard but Hall is keeping the position.
Grey is looking to work some ground and pound but Hall has wrist control.
Hall tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Grey loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Hall looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Grey in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Grey trying to stand up but can't free himself from Hall's guard.

Grey is looking to work some ground and pound but Hall has wrist control.
Grey lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
Hall working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Grey.
Grey has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Hall is proving hard to escape from.
Grey postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.


Hall is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Grey throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Hall is still in real trouble! Can Grey finish him?
Grey loads up on a big left hand. Hall felt that one! He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Grey looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Hall can't hide his disappointment, as Grey celebrates the victory.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sasha Grey!
A relieved looking Sasha Grey thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
