Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Marsh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Alexander Shlemenko!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Wesley Smith and Chris Downing.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Shlemenko fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Marsh, pushing him back against the cage.
Marsh missing with knees to the body.
Marsh is trying to stall.
Shlemenko manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Marsh really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Marsh breaks from the clinch.
Shlemenko throws a good cross that connects.
Shlemenko throws a one two combo.
Marsh tries to move into range but Shlemenko moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Shlemenko tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Marsh swivels and escapes.
Whack! Shlemenko lands a heavy head kick that drops Marsh. The ref tackles Shlemenko to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Marsh was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Alexander Shlemenko!
