Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Scott Duguay (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paini Hemmo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Paini Hemmo was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Scott Duguay!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Paini Hemmo!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Duguay fails with the takedown.
No luck for Hemmo with that takedown attempt.
Duguay fails with an attempt to clinch.
A head kick misses from Duguay.
Duguay dives in for a single leg takedown but Hemmo sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Hemmo is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Duguay pulls him back up using the underhooks.
Duguay pushes Hemmo back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.
Duguay gets control of Hemmo's arms and successfully pulls guard. Duguay will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Hemmo is in close to Duguay's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Duguay on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Duguay tries to get out of the position.
Duguay wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Hemmo manages to pass to side control.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hemmo lands a nice short elbow.

Hemmo is taking a breather. Duguay says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Duguay is looking for a sweep. Hemmo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Hemmo perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Hemmo prevents Duguay from improving his position.
Hemmo drops an elbow to the side of Duguay's head.
Duguay is looking to control Hemmo's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Duguay avoid being mounted?
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Hemmo.

Hemmo wants to lay and pray for a moment but Duguay keeps working.

Hemmo lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Duguay hang on?
Hemmo has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Duguay really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Duguay tries to hold on but Hemmo postures up.
Hemmo is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Oh Duguay is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

Duguay seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Hemmo cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Hemmo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Duguay is wriggling around trying to escape.
A big strike lands for Hemmo! That's really hurt Duguay and he's turned his back - Hemmo keeps firing away and the ref dives in to stop the fight! Hemmo jumps to his feet to celebrate the victory!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Paini Hemmo!
