The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Freedom throws a head kick that misses.
A head kick by Silva misses
enabling Freedom to counter with a crisp jab.

Silva swats away the attempt to clinch by Freedom.
Silva misses with a two punch combination.
Freedom lands a right hook to the body.
Freedom tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Silva misses with a few strikes there.
Freedom connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Some wild striking there from Silva.
Freedom scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Freedom tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Silva manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Freedom circles away quickly and effectively.
Freedom lands a nice hook to Silva's body. Silva takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Silva moves into the clinch.
Silva pulls Freedom into guard.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Freedom trying to control but Silva is working from the bottom.
Freedom throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Silva works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Freedom trying to control the position from guard on top but Silva is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Freedom content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Silva is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Freedom pulls his head out easily.
Freedom wants to control but Silva is keeping him busy.
Freedom has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Silva defend it? Freedom steps over the head and cranks it - Silva is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Freedom!
