Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Osamu Kido (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and William Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Osamu Kido!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, William Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Ren Mimura and Shirou Masuda.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kido tries to close the distance and clinch but Johnson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Johnson closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kido circles away.
Kido keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Osamu Kido has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of William Johnson.
Johnson shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Kido but Kido pushes him off and we're back to square one.

We've been hearing reports that Kido has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Johnson is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Kido gets his way!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Kido here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.

Kido stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kido wants it to stay on the feet.

Johnson goes for a double leg but Kido avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Kido continues to drive forward.

Osamu Kido showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Kido has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
