Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Kazushi Sakuraba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Xei Xiao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sakuraba has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Xei Xiao will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Xei Xiao!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sakuraba tries to sprawl but Xiao drives through with a takedown into half guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Sakuraba keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Sakuraba is breathing heavily.
Xiao is looking to take a break and control but Sakuraba is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Xiao is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Xiao is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Sakuraba doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Xiao.
Xiao looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Xiao is trying to control the action in half guard but Sakuraba is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Xiao is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Xiao is looking to advance position but Sakuraba won't allow it.
Xiao is trying to control. Sakuraba wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Sakuraba is trying to get back to full guard.
Sakuraba trying to control but Xiao postures up.
Xiao trying to control from Sakuraba's half guard. Sakuraba has other ideas though and has regained full guard.
Xiao tries to stand but Sakuraba is controlling from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Xiao wants to control from the top but Sakuraba keeps moving.
Sakuraba utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Xiao accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Xiao content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Sakuraba has locked up a guillotine! Sakuraba's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Xiao is holding on here and Sakuraba must be using up a lot of energy. Xiao has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Sakuraba gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
