The judges for this bout are James Glass, Richard Clark and William Gold.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Smith shoots in for a takedown but Ulhaq shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Smith shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ulhaq counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ulhaq.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Ulhaq thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ulhaq with a nice head shot there.
Smith will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Ulhaq trying to control but Smith is working from the bottom.
Ulhaq throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Ulhaq is looking to work some ground and pound but Smith has wrist control.
Smith preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Ulhaq is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Smith moves in looking to clinch but Ulhaq pushes him off.
Smith fails with the takedown.

Ulhaq shoots in and bounces Smith off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Ulhaq stands up over Smith, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Smith is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Ulhaq is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Smith seems to have got his legs back now.

Ulhaq working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Smith's head.
Ulhaq stands up over Smith, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Smith has momentary wrist control but Ulhaq slips an elbow through the middle.
Ulhaq arches his back and unloads with a massive left and a right! Smith's eyes roll back into his head, he's out cold! The ref dives in to stop the fight - wow, they were hard shots!
