Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Barry Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joakim Noah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Barry Murphy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Joakim Noah! The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Paulsen Ambrosius and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some wild striking there from Murphy.
Murphy has taken the fight to the clinch.
Murphy pulls guard. Noah trying to control but Murphy is working from the bottom. Murphy throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Murphy wriggles free and stands up. The crowd cheers as Murphy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Noah doesn't seem phased though. Noah ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Noah checks a low kick from Murphy. Noah shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Murphy pinned against the ropes. Murphy gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Murphy rushes Noah and presses him up against the ropes. Noah is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Murphy to keep the fight standing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murphy pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Murphy misses with a few strikes there.
Murphy misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Noah tries to clinch there but Murphy circles away.
Noah tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Murphy counters with a nice uppercut. Noah shoots for a double leg takedown but Murphy sprawls well. He's pushed Noah's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Barry Murphy has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Joakim Noah. Murphy scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Noah looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Murphy! Murphy sneaks out the side door and pushes Noah away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Noah tries to keep at a distance but Murphy has taken the fight into the clinch. Murphy breaks from the clinch.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Murphy throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. No luck for Noah with that takedown attempt. Murphy tries to bum rush Noah with a series of wild strikes but Noah uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Murphy throws a right hand that Noah ducks under and follows up with a left that Noah also avoids with ease. Murphy shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Noah defends it nicely. Noah tries to close the distance and clinch but Murphy swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Murphy looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Murphy drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Noah is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Murphy has just dragged him back down to the mat. Noah looks winded! A lull in the action here as Murphy stalls from top position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Murphy decides to stand back up. Murphy has taken the fight to the clinch.
Murphy lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
Noah is looking to control Murphy's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Noah avoid being mounted? Murphy stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being. Noah misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Noah finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the ropes, ducking and weaving under Murphy's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Noah falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Barry Murphy!
