0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Advel Dogg! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Josh West and Chris Saunders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A looping hook to the body misses from Copeland. Dogg does a little dance to reset his feet. Copeland takes one on the button.
It looks like Emilio Copeland has been cut. Dogg looking to score a takedown here. Copeland is defending well but Dogg drives through and ends up in Copeland's guard. Copeland trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Dogg stays in close to Copeland's body and controls the position. Copeland not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Dogg takes a decent strike to the side of the head. Dogg controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Copeland looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Copeland trying to keep a closed guard but Dogg is proving a slippery customer.
Dogg showing good wrestling skills to control the position. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. A big right from Dogg misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dogg is looking to slow Copeland down with leg kicks. Dogg decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Dogg prevents Copeland from improving his position. Dogg seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Dogg keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Copeland is looking to control Dogg's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Copeland avoid being mounted? Dogg seems to be working for a kimura but Copeland defends the submission attempt. Copeland really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Dogg takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch. Dogg scores with a jab to the body. Copeland avoids the body shot from Dogg.
Copeland throws a body punch but Dogg moves out of range. Dogg takes a shot to the body in his stride.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Copeland shoots in looking for a takedown. Dogg tries to sprawl out of it but Copeland keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Dogg manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Dogg jabs Copeland to the body, keeping him at a distance. Dogg just misses with a punch to the body.

Copeland is rocked! Dogg performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Oh Copeland is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Copeland seems to have got his legs back now.
That's four minutes gone in the round. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Copeland trying to hold on to Dogg's head to control him but Dogg postures up.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Advel Dogg was stalling too much, according to the referee. Copeland cracks Dogg with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Dogg manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Copeland on his heels. He'll look to pass Copeland's guard now, I'm sure. Dogg looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Dogg passes into half guard. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Dogg is controlling the pace.

Copeland takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Dogg controlling the position. Advel Dogg has got the better of the ground game so far. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Copeland is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Dogg off and has taken his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Copeland misses with an elbow to the head. Copeland is hanging on to Dogg's back as he tries to escape.
Dogg tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell! Copeland thowing shots but they're missing. Dogg is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Dogg sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Copeland tries to stand but his arm is trapped. Dogg has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Copeland is working away from the top position though.

Copeland is looking for a kimura but Dogg is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Copeland to get the leverage. Dogg trying to hold on to Copeland's head to control him but Copeland postures up.
Dogg is looking for a sweep. Copeland is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dogg is concentrating on defense, preventing Copeland from advancing position. Copeland wants to stand up but Dogg has a hold of him and won't allow it. Dogg is holding on to half guard well.
It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground. Copeland is looking to clinch. Dogg fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Copeland on the side of the head. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dogg darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Copeland tries to roll over but Dogg keeps him under control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Advel Dogg showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Emilio Copeland's cut. That's time! Copeland's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Dogg is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Dogg preventing the sweep. Dogg not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up. Copeland is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Copeland gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Dogg counters with a left to the body. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Copeland keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Copeland moves out of range of the strikes. Copeland is looking to wear down Dogg with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment. Dogg shoots in and bounces Copeland off the cage to secure the takedown into guard. Dogg slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. A lull in the action here. Dogg is putting a hurting on Copeland here, landing some big shots from side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Copeland on the wrong end of some ground and pound. Dogg happy to just control the position for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Copeland tries to get back to half guard but can't. A big shot lands for Dogg! That's hurt Copeland! Will he recover? Dogg fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
