Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Thiago Cunha and Edson Gomes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
ROCHA throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around veloso's waist but veloso gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing ROCHA off to one side.

veloso bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
veloso trying to control the action but ROCHA is working from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
ROCHA is looking to regain half guard here but veloso keeps moving and retains side control.
ROCHA gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
ROCHA slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now ROCHA is on top in guard.
ROCHA stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. veloso swivels though and keeps the full guard.
veloso is pulling down on ROCHA's head to control his posture.

ROCHA has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but veloso can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
veloso chips away with some ground and pound.
veloso scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
veloso wants to control from the top but ROCHA keeps moving.
veloso is working ROCHA over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

ROCHA throws his legs up looking for a submission but veloso uses it to pass to side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
You can see the frustration on ROCHA's face as veloso controls the position.
ROCHA is looking to reverse the position.

ROCHA wants to improve his position, back to half guard but veloso has ideas of his own. He's got hold of ROCHA's far side arm and it looks like he's got an Americana. Ohh! Ohhhh! OOOOOOOOOH! A human being's arm is not meant to bend like that! ROCHA is tapping like a morse code operator on the Titanic! SOS SOS! He's out of here! Great win for veloso!
