Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Saam Ante.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Overeem keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Imienia.
Overeem looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Imienia shoots in and drives through. Overeem sprawls well.
Imienia throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Imienia darts in and clinches Overeem up against the cage.
Imienia has hold of one of Overeem's legs. Overeem is fighting the takedown attempt but Imienia gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Imienia is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Imienia trying to control the position from guard on top but Overeem is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Overeem wants to get back to his feet but Imienia is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Bez Imienia has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Overeem throws a head kick that half lands.
Imienia closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Imienia with the ground and pound but Overeem uses the opportunity to regain guard.
Imienia loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Imienia stays in close to Overeem's body and controls the position.
Let's hope that Imienia has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Imienia slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Imienia thows a leg kick but Overeem checks it
and Overeem counters with a nice body kick.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Imienia goes for a double leg but Overeem avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Overeem continues to drive forward.
Imienia turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Imienia manages to end up in side control.
Imienia tries to move to mount but Overeem blocks the move with his legs.
Imienia postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Overeem is not content to let Imienia control the position.
Overeem gets back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Overeem won't allow Imienia to pass to mount.
Imienia is keen to just control but Overeem is a slippery customer.
Imienia is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bez Imienia.
Overeem fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Imienia stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Overeem.
Sloppy strikes from Overeem. Those never looked like landing.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Bez Imienia has been cut.

Overeem lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

A lazy left from Overeem finds it's target.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Overeem.
Overeem lands a nice shot that snaps Imienia's head back.
A thudding body kick lands there by Overeem!
Overeem lunges at Imienia with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Imienia's hand.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Overeem lands a big right hand that sends Imienia crashing to the mat! Overeem stays standing though and waves Imienia back to his feet!

Thud! ouch! good body kick from Overeem - that will leave a mark!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Imienia tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Overeem lands a big head kick that sends Imienia tumbling to the mat! Overeem takes a step backwards and waves Imienia back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Overeem drops Imienia with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Imienia! Overeem dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
