Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sami Saari (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jai Setright (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Setright has chosen The Dagger as his entrance music. Sami Saari has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the welterweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Sami Saari! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jai Setright! The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Albert Achterberg.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Saari is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot. Setright pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Setright lands with a cross.
It looks like Sami Saari has been cut. Saari steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Setright. Setright goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Setright fakes the leg kick and cracks Saari in the body. Saari swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Saari wants to clinch. Saari scores with a hook. Setright takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Saari with a jab. Saari lands with a straight right. Setright didn't see that one coming. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Nice defenses there by Setright. Sami Saari seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Saari throws a hook but Setright blocks it. A jab from Saari misses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Saari fails with an attempt to clinch.
Setright lands a head kick. Saari smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Setright misses with a head kick.
Saari throws a looping overhand right but Setright ducks down to avoid it. Good exchange - Saari coming out on top. Saari rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Saari takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Saari fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Saari instigates a clinch. Setright tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Saari's elbow. I was talking to Saari's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight. Setright lands a right hand. Setright utilising his Muay Thai to score with a knee to the body. Setright tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Saari avoids it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Setright misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Saari.
Setright is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace. Saari wants to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. Saari trying to stall but Setright improves his position.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Saari. Saari blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. Setright prevents a body shot from Saari. Saari stalling.
Saari breaks from the clinch.
Saari tries to bum rush Setright with a series of wild strikes but Setright uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Saari takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it. Decent striking displayed by Saari there. Setright moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Setright stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Saari misses with a body shot.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Saari swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Saari is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Setright bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Saari connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Setright momentarily.
The fight stays on the outside here - Setright looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Setright avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Saari scores with a punch to the head. Setright uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Saari.
Setright staying out of range there. Setright is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Saari. Saari fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Setright on the side of the head. The fighters circle momentarily. Setright darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Sami Saari's cut is getting worse. Saari displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination. This has been an exciting period of action! Setright lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Saari misses with a combination
and Setright counters with a thumping low kick. Some wild striking there from Saari.
Saari is breathing heavily. Saari is looking to clinch but Setright is avoiding it.
Saari ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Setright throws a hook but Saari avoids it easily. Setright drops his hands momentarily and Saari takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Good exchange - Setright coming out on top. Oh Saari is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Saari misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Setright.
Setright ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Setright bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Setright connects with a stiff jab that staggers Saari - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jai Setright! Jai Setright is the new welterweight champion! A relieved looking Jai Setright thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
