Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Cranium Basher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terrance Brookins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Cranium Basher! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Terrance Brookins! The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Saam Ante and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Basher scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Brookins tries to land a front kick but Basher steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Brookins throws a solid leg kick but Basher takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Brookins. Basher shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Brookins as he jumps to the side. Brookins goes for a double leg but Basher avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Basher continues to drive forward. Basher tries a body shot but Brookins blocks it.
Brookins escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brookins misses the jab. Basher definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. Brookins throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Brookins slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range. Brookins tries to sprawl but Basher drives through with a takedown into half guard. Basher is looking to advance position but Brookins won't allow it. Brookins landing strikes from the bottom. Brookins gets back to full guard.
Basher is in close to Brookins's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's one minute gone in the round. Basher postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Brookins throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Basher escapes and throws Brookins's legs to the side, diving into side control! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brookins manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Brookins tries to roll over but Basher keeps him under control. Brookins has hold of Basher's hands but Basher slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Basher winds up and cracks Brookins with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Brookins is looking for a sweep. Basher is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Brookins looking for submissions off his back. Basher throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Basher lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Brookins avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Basher. Brookins is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Basher throws a big elbow that misses, also allowing Brookins to regain full guard. Brookins escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Basher gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Basher lands a couple of decent looking shots. Basher pushes down on Brookins's leg and manages to get into half guard. Brookins is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Basher is thwarting Brookins's attempts to control the position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brookins looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Basher prevents Brookins from improving his position. Brookins trying to control here.
Basher is trying to control. Brookins wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Brookins is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Basher's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Basher's back! Basher manages to reverse the position and now he's in Brookins's guard. Nice work there by Basher.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brookins is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Brookins looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Basher distracts Brookins with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Basher missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Brookins looking for a guillotine here but Basher defends easily.
Basher throws a big elbow that misses. Basher throws a strike but Brookins rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Basher working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Brookins. Brookins is looking to work some ground and pound but Basher has wrist control. Brookins avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cranium Basher dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Brookins tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Basher connects with a body shot that sends Brookins's belly button to the back. Basher darts in looking for a takedown but Brookins gets double underhooks and turns Basher into the cage. Brookins wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Basher has him pressed against the cage. Basher stops a takedown attempt from Brookins.
Brookins is pressed up against the cage. Basher has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Brookins down to the mat. Brookins avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Brookins throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean. Brookins throws a jab when Basher was well out of range. Nice uppercut there from Brookins. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brookins misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Basher misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Brookins.
Basher cracks Brookins with a right hand to the side of the head. Brookins throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Basher sees it coming and avoids it easily. Brookins misses with an uppercut. Brookins scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brookins throws a right hand that Basher ducks under and follows up with a left that Basher also avoids with ease. Basher connects with a body shot. Basher avoids the head kick by Brookins.
Basher fails with a takedown attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cranium Basher. That's going to take a lot out of him. Basher drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brookins is looking for a sweep. Basher trying to control the action but Brookins is working from the bottom. Basher is working Brookins over with some ground and pound from side control. Basher lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Brookins gets back to half guard. Basher looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Basher working the head and body with strikes. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Brookins actively working from the bottom here. Basher works his foot free and advances to mount. The referee warns Brookins that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Brookins tries to hold on but Basher postures up. Basher working Brookins over with strikes here. Brookins is desperately trying to improve his position but Basher has a good base and remains in mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Basher in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Brookins wants to hold on but Basher pushes him away. Basher postures up and lands a whopping elbow - oh that's hurt Brookins bigstyle! Two more strikes land for Basher and the fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:30 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Cranium Basher! Cranium Basher decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
