I think Del Norte might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to La Coka Nostra - Malverde Market. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Retsu Kaioh!
The judges for this bout are William Gold, Chris Edwards and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kaioh cracks Del Norte with an open hand slap.
Kaioh throws a sloppy head kick and Del Norte moves out of range easily.

Del Norte takes the fight into the clinch.
Kaioh swings wildly with an uppercut but Del Norte uses good head movement to avoid it.
Del Norte avoids the elbow strike from Kaioh, against the cage.
Kaioh tries to land knees in the clinch but Del Norte avoids the damage to the body.
Nice elbow from Kaioh.


It looks like Antifanz Del Norte has been cut.
Kaioh lands with a short head shot on the inside.
Kaioh cracks Del Norte with a nice body shot.
Kaioh's coach down at Axia Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Kaioh's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Kaioh misses with an elbow over the top.
Kaioh creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Kaioh prevents the takedown attempt.

Kaioh prevents the takedown attempt.
Kaioh lands a hook that snaps the head of Del Norte backwards.
Del Norte tries to score a body lock takedown but Kaioh shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Kaioh lands an elbow that stopped Del Norte in his tracks for a moment.
Kaioh working some nice short punches in the clinch.
Kaioh is trying to wear down his opponent with knees to the body.
Del Norte is breathing heavily.
Kaioh lands a knee to the head there! That was nasty!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kaioh lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Kaioh has the Thai clinch. He lands a big knee to the head that stumbles Del Norte - he's in trouble! Another big knee to the head from Kaioh, and another! Del Norte is out on his feet - the ref jumps in to save him and ends the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Knees). Retsu Kaioh!
A relieved looking Retsu Kaioh thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
