Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Henry Charles (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcelo Garcia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Charles comes to the cage accompanied by Don't Fake the Funk by Prince Charles. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
21 - 24 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Henry Charles! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 10 - 1, fighting out of London, Marcelo Garcia! The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Glass and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Garcia uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Charles.
Marcelo Garcia seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Garcia misses with an uppercut. Charles saw that one coming. Charles throws a right hand that Garcia ducks under and follows up with a left that Garcia also avoids with ease. Garcia scores with a sloppy right hand. Charles should have avoided that one.
It looks like Henry Charles has been cut. Charles lands a right hook to the body.
Garcia fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Charles lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. Charles uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Garcia. Nice uppercut there from Garcia. Garcia slips under a jab from Charles. A looping hook to the body misses from Garcia. Charles does a little dance to reset his feet. Garcia lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Oh, that's a big right hand from Garcia and Charles goes tumbling to the canvas! Garcia follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
Charles is rocked! My spies in The Seven Sins Grappling Academy inform me that Garcia has been getting involved in the gym's BJJ sparring sessions. Let's see whether that pays dividends! Charles tries to roll over but Garcia keeps him under control. Oh Charles is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Garcia seems to be working for a kimura but Charles defends the submission attempt. Garcia is working for a submission of some sort.

That's one minute gone in the round. Garcia wants to pass the guard but Charles is defending well. Charles seems to have got his legs back now. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Garcia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Charles is just riding it out for now. Garcia eventually gives up the hold. Charles is staying active underneath Garcia, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Garcia is looking for a kimura but Charles is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Garcia to get the leverage. Charles tries to roll over but Garcia keeps him under control. Garcia is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Charles defends it well. Garcia trying to control from Charles's half guard. Charles has other ideas though and has regained full guard.

Charles is trying to get back to full guard. Garcia is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Charles sees it coming and defends easily. Charles is not content to let Garcia control the position. Garcia is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Charles works his way to full guard. Good work. Garcia passes into half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Charles is trying to control but can't.
Garcia is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Charles is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
